Beard on Bread! I still have my original copy from 1973! (much spilled upon and marked up with notes) Most of the bread I bake is still from this book, which taught me how to bake bread - in the early 70s I didn't know anyone who baked bread .. Sourdough rye, Myrtle Allen's Brown Bread (first no knead bread), sweet potato rolls (have become a tradition at Thaksgiving (originally baked them to get kids to eat sweet potatoes - it worked), easy cream biscuits, yeast pancakes ... So many recipes and so many memories ...
