I loved this blog. Having lived in Connecticut for a while I can identify with not turning the heat on. We carry that tradition on even now that we live in PA. We do use, however, the fireplaces. I love to cozy up to the fire and relax. For me cool weather comfort food has to include a creamy seafood chowder served with corn muffins. The chowder can be fish, shrimp, or clam, but it has to be creamy. It will warm you all the way to your toes.
