Hi Deb, we're so sorry to hear your rolls didn't rise in time for Thanksgiving dinner! It sounds like the yeast you used might not have been as active as it should have been. You can use this yeast test to see if this might have contributed to your difficulties. If your yeast is nice and active, then it's possible too much flour might have held back your rolls. It's easy to add extra flour to a recipe when you measure flour by cups. For best results, we recommend either weighing your flour, or using this method to measure your flour by volume.
