Hi Abby! You're close. There is no first rise — you shape the rolls as soon as you're done kneading. Once they're shaped, get them into the freezer before they have a chance to rise. When you're ready to bake, pull them out, put them in their pans, and they'll take around 4 to 5 hours to thaw and become nice and puffy and marshmallow-like, at which point you bake. Annabelle@KAF
