Hi Dorothy, we haven't tried this, but I did find a recipe for Old Fashioned Chinese Style Almond Cookies that calls for lard instead of butter. If you need to make them gluten-free you could substitute our Gluten-Free Measure for Measure Flour for the unbleached all-purpose flour in this recipe.
