Thank you so much for this. I think everyone is having a store cupboard raid and using copious amounts of all-purpose or plain flour as we call it here in the UK. The kids made some treats for some friends and we did doorstep deliveries. The cupcakes turned out great.

I wonder if the SR cakes you made tasted different to the AP ones? In my opinion, the cupcakes we made were different in taste and texture slightly. Texture I understand, taste I'm not quite sure why. Anyway, I'm rambling. Thank you so much for this post and I will definitely be attempting that hot milk cake!
