Hi Emmacado, since there's approximately 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder per cup of self-rising flour, you'd need to adjust your recipe accordingly. So if your original recipe called for 2 cups of all-purpose flour and it just happened to call for 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1 tablespoon of baking powder, then you would have the perfect amount. If the amount of salt called for in your recipe was higher than 1/2 teaspoon, or the baking powder amount were higher or if it called for baking soda, you'd need to add the extra salt needed, add any extra baking powder needed, and add all of the baking soda called for in your recipe.
