Connie, our Self-Rising Flour can be used in recipes that call for at least 1/2-1 tsp of baking powder per cup of flour. Assuming your recipe calls for no more than 2 cups of flour (and therefore no less than 1/2tsp baking powder per cup), then you can omit the baking powder (and salt) and add the baking soda in its original amount. If the recipe calls for less than 1/2 tsp baking powder per cup of flour, then this won't be a good candidate for substitution as you'll end up with excess baking powder.
