Hi there, Maureen! Do you mean that when slicing the bread the crust separates from the interior? Is the crust really thick? We wonder if a skin is forming on the dough while it rises — how are you covering the dough while it's rising? For longer rises such as this one, it's best to use something that will keep the surface of the dough from drying out like reusable wrap, a bowl cover, a clean shower cap, or plastic wrap. We hope this helps!
