I made the pie yesterday and it came out perfectly! Thank you for all the tips. I have a tip for spraying the Stars and Stripes -- I used a mini-mister that sprays a very fine mist. Bought it at Michaels and dug it out of my craft supplies (hadn't been used!). Now it's in my kitchen drawer!
