I have an old recipe that calls for lemon juice and I tried that recipe for the first time the other night with all propose and rice flour. The pastry turned out great, it just did not work for pigs in a blank. I'll try that pastry with whole wheat flour for my pies. I think that the nutty flavor will go well with pumpkin and pecan pies.
