You have no idea how excited I was to read about your scones. I have been searching for my Grandmother's recipe all of my life (and that's been a very long time) and could never find a scone recipe that was cooked on top of the stove on a griddle. They were like "sinkers" and I would wait by the stove until they were done....usually pretty dark on both sides. She would rip off a chunk and load it with butter and I was in heaven. I can't wait to try these ideas out on my grandchildren. You have made my day !!
