Thanks for your question, Jasmine! For non-organic wheat, American farmers do have the option of using federally approved pesticides. If used, any application must comply with their regulatory approval. We don't bleach, bromate, or add chemicals to our flour, and we partner with farmers in the U.S. to source wheat that meets our high standards and specifications for superior baking performance. We work closely with the farmers from whom we buy wheat, and have made a commitment to supporting farmers who use regenerative practices, which includes limiting the use of chemical inputs.
We do also offer a full line of certified 100% organic flours, where the use of synthetic pesticides are generally prohibited. We offer our organic line to ensure that our customers have options to suit their individual needs. Our organic flour line is also 100% U.S. grown and milled wheat, independently verified by QAI (Quality Assurance International).
