Thanks for getting in touch, Ken, and for sharing your feelings about conventional (non-organic) agriculture. We appreciate hearing your concerns and the steps you’re trying to take in response.

For more than 225 years, King Arthur Flour has been committed to making exceptionally good flour available to bakers. This includes partnering with mills and farmers to produce flour that meets our high standards and specifications to ensure superior baking performance. It’s important to us that bakers be able to rely on our flour to perform with excellence season after season, bag after bag. We also know well that we serve a wide variety of bakers — it’s one of the reasons we gladly offer our full line of certified 100% organic flours: so that individuals have options when choosing the products that best meet their needs.

We can understand your point about organic flour representing an additional cost. Price is important and our team works hard to ensure the cost of all our products is commensurate with their value — in the case of organic this means additional growing requirements, a more limited toolbox of resources to protect crops, certification processes, etc.

Just because we believe we have a great product, though, doesn't mean we feel our job is done. You can be sure that our team will continue to explore and innovate within the baking industry to provide the best products we can for our customers.
