Thanks for reaching out with your question, Constance! For non-organic wheat, farmers have the option of using federally approved pesticides. If used, any application must comply with their regulatory approval. We don't bleach, bromate, or add chemicals to our flour, and we partner with farmers in the U.S. to source wheat that meets our high standards and specifications for superior baking performance. We do also offer a full line of certified 100% organic flours, where the use of synthetic pesticides are generally prohibited. We offer our organic line to ensure that our customers have options to suit their individual needs. Our organic flour line is also 100% U.S. grown and milled wheat, independently verified by QAI (Quality Assurance International). Kindly, Jesse@KAF
