Deanie, it's always an adventure nostalgic baking in an attempt to recreate a recipe from the past. For your banana-craving, try using our basic recipe for Banana Cream Pie and use the recipe for a graham cracker crust in this blog. Bake the crust first, then add the filling and chill until it has set. Use the meringue topping recipe from our Mile-High Meringue Pie recipe, and then either torch it with a kitchen-safe blow torch or broil it in the oven just until the meringue becomes golden.
