I whisk the eggs and sugar first then add a cooled mixture of melted butter, chocolate and cocoa.
She adds sugar to the warm butter/chocolate/cocoa mixture then slowly adds the eggs.
We both add the dry ingredients last.
This is the only difference we could determine.
