Remember Christine, you’re not ‘reversing’ diabetes by restricting carbs and sugar. People with Type 2 diabetes can often control their blood glucose without medication by removing as many carbs as possible. They are not cured, but might consider themselves in remission.
Plus, this approach only applies to people with Type 2 diabetes. As a person with Type 1 diabetes, I choose to live a very low carb lifestyle (30 total grams per day max) since I have to medicate with insulin for the food I eat. Carbs require more insulin, so I choose to eat fewer of those.
