Sorry for any confusion. The picture shows a slightly different set up for more "plated" looking desserts. The berries and cream are placed in a thicker layer in the center of the two cake layers and then whole and sliced berries are added to individual servings. There's a mention of this in the blog, right before the final photo. Hope this helps, happy baking!
