Yes, you can freeze starter. Give your starter a few feedings over the course of a couple of days, until it's very full and ripe and bubbling, looking gorgeous and healthy. Freeze about 1/2 cup at a time in either airtight containers or airtight zipper bags. Be sure to label and date well. We've revived starter after a few months and had great results, and have heard customer stories of starters reviving even after 2-3 years. Hope this works out well for you.
