Hi Lisa, while we don't recommend freezing your starter as a long-term storage solution, a brief freeze isn't likely to do it much harm. I froze some of my starter for a few days and then revived it, and although it was a little sluggish at first, after a second feeding it returned to its normal rising behavior and aroma.
