Very interesting, Stacy! We're not sure why your starter would smell like that. Is there any chance there was some Pam residue in the container you're keeping your starter in? Or maybe some old, spoiled flour? We might suggest transferring your starter to a new, clean container and feeding it for a few more days to see if that smell goes away.
