I attempted to dry my starter but after ~12 hours, I noticed patches of white fuzzy specs on the dried portions. I initially assumed it got contaminated but thought that 12 hours was way too fast. Is this normal to see spots of white fuzzy specs? I vigorously stir the starter each feeding so I doubt it's flour but I could be mistaken.
