Priscilla, that's a great question! As with any "discards," the choice is yours! Feel free to discard into your compost bin, use the unfed starter in a recipe for flavor, or feed it to bake with as a natural leavener, dry out as a backup starter, or create a new starter for a friend. All are perfectly valid options. Happy baking!
