Hi Lu, we answered your question on Facebook when we first saw it, but we'll also post it here in case others are curious about using a dehydrator to dry their starter. We haven't tested this in our test kitchen, Lu — we're not sure if the low heat would simply accelerate the drying process or if it might kill some of the yeast/bacteria. However, we've heard from some other bakers who have said they've used this method successfully. You're welcome to give it a whirl if you're up for experimenting. Kye@KAF
