I was all set to make oatmeal cookies and have my butter, brown sugar and white sugar blended and creamed. When going to pre-heat my oven it won’t start! I have a repairman coming in the morning. Is it safe to let the butter/sugar mix sit out covered tightly or must I refrigerate it then attempt to bring it back to room temp? Thank you.
