Mary-Jane, Wow. 60 years of baking with a number of epic failures which I now understand were due to 1) impatiently zapping butter to soften it or 2) wandering away to feed the dig or wipe her feet while creaming using a stand mixer. Mystery solved. Excellent presentation. Photos helped immensely. Bless you, Chikkinlittle
