Some people bake more than others and really use a stand mixer. I do cream with a spoon (a metal one), but I also hate the extra clean up of a mixer (don't have a dishwasher). It would be wonderful (I think) if KAF were willing to expand this blog to include a comparison of the different mixing methods.
