There are several small bakeries on the outer islands that make a similar bread - even a sourdough version on Molokai. Eggs, potato flour, pineapple juice, butter, brown sugar would make a very soft and sweet bread. I'm going to try the recipe, but I will probably substitute fake eggs, realizing I might end up with a slightly tougher bread. Please visit some of the other islands! They each have their own "flavor". I can almost feel the warm, golden sand under my feet, eating a kailua pig slider while drinking an adult beverage, listening to the sound of the surf as the sun sinks below the horizon. Ahhhhhh.
