I measured everything exactly, followed the directions and the batter was so thick and sticky I could stand a spoon in it. I decided to add the yolks I had put aside, I realized the only reason they were removed was probably due to fat or calories. The yolks made the batter manageable and it looked like brownie batter. I baked them and they did come out looking very nice, and the texture is somewhat like a brownie. The taste however leaves much to be desired..... very bitter. All that sugar did nothing to help the bitterness of the cocoa. Sorry to say I won't be making these again.
