Great question, Marie. When cookies don't spread in the oven, it can be a sign of a few different things. Most commonly this is the result of flour measurement. Too much flour can result in dense, dry dough that will hold its shape more than desired. We recommend using a scale to measure flour (as well as your other ingredients) whenever possible.
