Hi Roberta, the pizzelle maker should come with a manual that tells you how much batter is required to make a perfect pizzelle. In our blog about making pizzelles, author and baker PJ recommend using a tablespoon-sized scoop for standard-sized pizzelles. This scoop fits about 4 teaspoons (a generous 1 tablespoon) of dough.
