I taught Home Economics many years ago& lost the use of one hand in a car accident> I have used aTBS.measure to make meatballs for over 30 years& want the TBS size scoop to keep my hand clean for phone doorbell answering( always rings when I'm busy in the kitchen; or maybe I'm always busy in the kitchen? I use a 1/4 cup scoop to make mini/individual meatloaves. A TBS scoop will also make mini muffins [ 400' 15-20 minutes] to bag for a lunchbox or breakfast on the go or for picnic munchies; I'm saving up for the full set to make my life much easier& neater( I've been using my thumb to release the dough or meat mixture from the spoon; it works but my hand is full of food from shaping balls one-handed. After shaping 5 dozen cookie balls my hand is not only covered w/ food, it & I are exhausted Oh yes; the 1/4 cup scoop is also good for portion control of ice-cream( half the suggested(1/2 cup serving size) do a double or triple scoop cone if you are not watching your calories.....If you make your own ice-cream sandwiches these scoops will give you "perfect" cookie& ice cream portions to assemble, pkg& freeze till serving time I don't know how long it will take me [ on S.S.disability]to save up to purchase the set/ But I'll be thinking of more wonderful uses while I'm saving; perhaps a 'SALE" or a gift from a kind & generous person will speed up the process ???????????
