I used two tablespoons (of the serving spoon variety) to press together and uniformly shape and size oatmeal cookies to take to a carry-in at my office. They were very tasty and I received many compliments. The problem was, because of their uniformity (and my age and gender?), my officemates wouldn’t believe I made them. The compliments were usually followed up with, “What bakery did you go to?” Your primer on scooping may get me to try this method, but only at home when guests can smell them baking … to confirm I didn’t buy them! Now, if only I could remember which recipe I used…
