I've used cookie scoops for decades. I can attest to the faster speed and neater scooping of dough. Many people wonder how I do it because on many occasion I've been accused of buying cookies as opposed to baking, because by using the scoop the cookies are uniform in size and look marvelous. I also use a larger scoop for muffins and cupcakes. Again, it is faster, neater and consistent sizing.
