Wonderful breads, but left out is the English favorite - yeast risen simnel cake with a layer of homemade marzipan in the center! The recipe comes from Elizabeth David's English Bread and Yeast Cookery - I haven't missed making one at Easter for a couple of decades. I do commend it.
