Hi Anne, both cakes are wonderful and well worth trying and comparing. I think this cake is a bit moister and denser, so much so that I couldn't imagine adding a ganache topping, as we do with our other flourless chocolate cake recipe. The other cake develops a thin crust on top, but this one never does, most likely because of the water bath and the added water. This recipe seems a bit more daunting, but it's really not hard to make. I hope you'll try them both and let us know which one you prefer!
