Thank you PJ. My dad was a Mallomar gourmet (for them, not for anything else! :)) Once they showed up on supermarket shelves in season (since they weren't for sale in the hot weather) my mom kept the pantry stocked. I can't remember if we kids were allowed to eat any or they were just for him. Anyway I plan to make the homemade version ASAP and send them to my brother and sister as a memory. You made my day!
