Hi JoAnn! We have found that using this method with our Zojirushi machines has worked just fine. Other brands/models may not be appropriate or well suited for this. If you are hesitant to try, we would recommend letting the baked loaf cool down in your home oven. You could preheat the oven for a few moments just to warm it up before the bread machine cycle finishes baking. Then, transfer the bread from the bucket in the machine to a rack in the oven and allow it to cool with the door slightly ajar. That could mimic what this process does for the baked loaf in the bread machine.
