I wish I could upvote this comment or thank Diane personally for the rack suggestion! The cool-on-rack-inside-machine works fantastically well. Be sure to remove the bread after the two hours she recommends; otherwise it might dry more than you want -- ask me how I know ;) although my experience is with the European course only -- YMMV.
Also, the racks currently come only in a 3-pack, but still a bargain. The extras make good stocking stuffers for adult children!
Before I read her suggestion re using the Bundt cleaning brush, I had been using a soft toothbrush to clean around the bottom of the shafts, and that works well also; I cut down the handle to an inch to make it easier to maneuver inside the pan. Now all I need is a mini-vacuum to clean up the microscopic crumbs that stay behind when removing the bread.
