Hi Mary Ann! We'd recommend removing the loaf from the bucket and then placing it back in, resting on the little metal posts that the blades hook into. This allows the bread to cool but prevents it from steaming itself into a rubber band- like loaf and will also keep it from sticking to the pan. We hope this helps to clarify and happy baking!
