Hi there, Ann! It sounds like the first rise is a bit too long, resulting in either no rise or the loaf falling during the second rise time. We'd suggest shortening up your first rise so that the yeast doesn't lose its oomph before the machine gets to the baking stage of the process. We hope this helps and happy baking! Morgan@KAF
