Hi there, Beverly! Baking at high-altitude can be tricky for sure! We'd suggest checking out our High Altitude Baking Chart for some recommended adjustments based on the elevation you're at. There you'll also find the contact information for the Colorado State University Extension, who are also at high elevation and are happy to help answer baking questions.
