I'm on my second bread machine. The first one -a 10-yr-old Breadman - died after Thanksgiving. It worked hard for me, but I always hated the "paddle mark" it left when I baked the loaf in it. My new Cuisinart sounds a chime when it's about to bake and you can remove the paddle. Easy peasy! I use the bread machine for dough only a LOT - esp. Pizza dough. It's a wonderful time and labor saving device, and we have delicious bread, rolls, and much more, often. If you're considering getting one of these gadgets, make room for it in your kitchen! You won't be sorry.
