Our old stove died and we bought an LG convection electric range. It had the two connection settings and the regular bake setting. But the joke was on me, because the fan runs no matter which setting it’s on. The only difference is that the fan runs constantly on the convection bake cycle and cycles on and off in the regular cycle. So my cakes and muffins get hit with the fan and bake unevenly either way. I have to rotate the pans, which means opening the door, losing heat and then the fan runs again to get the oven bake up to temperature.
I don’t know if that is an LG thing or if all convection ovens are this way. I’ll never buy a convection oven again, but we can’t afford to replace it so I’m stuck with it. Buyer beware!
