Thanks for the reply, Susan. Actually for cookies it's usually just a matter of taking out one sheet and putting in another, and having to push the light button again. And again. And again!! I do typically rotate my cake layers, though, so that's really interesting to know you're not a fan of that. And if I'm baking rolls and it seems like one side of the pan is browning faster than the other I usually open the door and turn it. Do you pretty much avoid all of that for the sake of keeping the oven hot? (And BTW I had the service guy come and check it out when I first got the ovens, thinking it must be a defect, and both he and a Bosch rep said that was a feature of those ovens. So if your lights don't turn off every time you open the door, you perhaps got a lucky lemon!)
