This recipe is flexible when it comes to shaping. Feel free to play around with the shapes you make. If sandwich bread is what you are looking for however, a loaf pan will give you the best result. Without the extra support of the pan, your dough may spread and leave you with more of a flatter, dome-shaped loaf...which is great if you are looking to make a tasty loaf or artisan bread, but less than ideal if you want to make sandwiches.
