Camilla, biscuits made with dough that's drier rather than softer don't rise as well - perhaps your dough is fairly sturdy/dry, and you could try making it a bit softer? Also, be sure your baking powder is good and fresh – for best quality control, using a national brand is a good idea, too. What flour are you using? If it's too "soft" (the protein level is low), your biscuits could "rise" sideways (spread). Hopefully some of these tips will help you make your best biscuits yet! PJH
