I'm glad to hear there are those who love the end pieces, Ralph. I always go for the tallest slice in the middle of the loaf. I know, you can get shot for that in some households! I justify it by saying that I am "checking out the crumb." And, besides, you can't really argue with the baker. Barb@KAF
