The refrigerator tends to dry out baked goods, so it's better to freeze bread than to refrigerate it, Sherry-Lynne. I think store bought breads hold up better in the refrigerator than homemade, but I would still recommend freezing. Homemade yeast breads last well for a few days at room temperature in a plastic bag. Crusty sourdoughs will last up to a week at room temperature. If you put a sourdough loaf in plastic, it will lose its crusty crust, but will stay moister. Barb@KAF
